Aw, the nebula pony looks even better now--fantastic painting!  I think I'd be afraid to try TEs with the paint job mostly done like that...

Oh my, you have NO idea what your compliments mean to me. Thank you!!!
Actually I'm STILL not really sure if I should risk it with TE. I never did it before and I like the paintjob. *sigh* I guess I paint the eyes and make another pony (not necessary nebula) with TEs. We'll see. :lovey:

Awww, Nichi, you commented them all.

Pffft. She was so pretty before I didn't notice she lacked stars :P
lol. I could sell you unfinished ponies then? Awesome!

I love, love you Nebula pony!!! If you ever decide to make another I know someone who would happily buy it from you. *winkwinknudgenudge*
Gosh, you and Kanthaka are both so talented with that; I will never understand how you both do the little "foggy" bits of the nebula.
Thank you. Maybe I'll do another nebula, maybe not. We'll see.
Well, it's not too hard to do. You just need a lot of patience and teenytiny paintbrushes. And a steady hand. And you have to be a little crazy to put yourself through that much work...
Did I forget anything, Kanthaka? *innocent blink* :silly:

Well... a teeny brush isn't necessary if you use needles.  :P

No, seriously.  It takes time, tons of layering, and attention to detail.  And time.  And maybe a little insanity, yeah...

How did you do the stars on that pony? Just hand-dot each one, or was there some other method?

Ah yes, that would be the next level ...painting with needles. (haHAAA, now I know how you do the stars!)

Yep, hand-dotted each one. I took my tiniest paintbrush and tried just to touch the surface with the tip of it. Didn't always work though...  >_<

I hope so. I still fear it will be terribly empty on my booth with only 12 ponies (IF I can finish them all in time). Also I can't imagine that they ALL sell there. And the others will be available for you all then of course. :D
Thank you, dear.

Ha! I paint with needles all the time as well. In fact, that is how I do most of the detailed painting that I do. XD

My main issue is that my hand is far from steady; it shakes horribly whenever I try to do small details. So I doubt I could ever do something as detailed as a nebula....unless anyone has advice on how to stop the shaking...?

Shaking doesn't have to get in the way!  I shake due to a minor neurological disorder and just sort of... keep things around to rest my hand on.  Usually ponies, or the table if I can.  The angle can be really awkward, but it beats shaking.

I don't know if it'll help at all, but i hope it does.
