Delay in TRU Favorites Collection! Ugh! Talked to TRU rep on page 2

Probably the wrong thread for this, but if there's anypony out there that would be able to help a dad out in landing one of these for his daughter's birthday next week, I'd love to get her a set.  This set isn't going to be for sale in New Zealand, where I live.  Only thing is, being interntational, it'd need to be in the mail today or tomorrow to make it in time.  I can reimburse via paypal immediately.  Please PM me if you can help us out.  Thanks for looking and good luck everyone.

I got the backorder/delay email too and saw 3 on the shelves at my local TRU today... :-/  I'm not happy about this.

I pre-ordered a Zecora and received the back-order email the other day. I emailed TRU's customer service two days ago and still haven't gotten a reply. I'm definately never going to pre-order from TRU ever again.

So I reached my limit with Hasbro and TRU.  I am going to cancel my order with TRU, so I bought Zecora for $39.95 free ship off ebay.  I don't care I had to pay more--its worth not having to deal with Hasbro and TRU.

They shouldn't have preorders they don't honor. x-x It's sad that the people who don't preorder end up better off than the ones that do.

Wow Hasbro and Toys R Us aren't mom and pop organizations, it does seem strange that I wasn't able to pre-order since the pages were taken down and yet was able to pick up both within a week of each other (zecora was there on the 8th and the favs was there the 15th).  Of course it did require multiple trips to various stores but I enjoy the hunt and now have a Nightmare Moon on my desk.

I just got the same email! Woo-hoo! I'm glad TRU is sorting out this mess and hopefully they've learned from it. I didn't pre order Zecora, but for those who did, I hope you guys get her!

Slightly off-topic, but doesn't it seem odd that 2 big name retailers have essentially done the same thing within the same week? Best Buy failed to honor pre-orders of Jaws on Blu-Ray and put them all on the shelf instead.

My PFF did some research and discovered that every time TRU does a bogo sale, they have issues with backordered items.

Mine was shipped yesterday and I just tracked it and supposedly it's on a truck out for delivery now.

I hadn't received the "backorder" e-mail for the Favorites collection (I did with Zecora though), when suddenly today I got a surprise cancellation notice on the Favorites out of nowhere.  For reference, I have already received my white Celestia in the mail, I did NOT preorder it with the BOGO deal, and last I had checked, the status of the collection was "In-stock: awaiting shipment" or something along those lines.  Not happy.
