I'm not going to lie. Waterfire winning doesn't surprise me. But Shenanigans being more popular than Kimono - very surprising. But that's okay. It wouldn't be as fun without surprises! [you], who are you rooting for today?

Blurg, why am I awake so early on a Saturday morning... (Oh yah! Because I have to get to the post office before noon cuz I'm expecting ponies!! )

I have the memory of a goldfish, I swear. I don't remember Wish-a-whirl racing before! I've always loved her two-tone hair, that dark vibrant blue just goes so well with the pastel orange of her body (plus I'm a sucker for those few G3 cutie marks that are images in perfect circles, they remind me of cute little stained glass windows!)

I think Port-o-bella is going to steal the show again this race, she's mighty popular for her hilarious name and cutie mark, and a nice color combo, but my vote goes for Snowflake! Some of those early G3 releases, like the 4 season ponies and the first year Holiday Ponies, were the ones with the most simple, elegant looks to them I think, and I love that in a pony.

And for some reason I like to study the color patterns of MLP manes. Usually we get a solid mane/tail or a repeated stripes pattern, or three equal sections of different colors (or in the G1 days, a single stripe of color for the unicorns). But one thin stripe of blue and one of purple in the otherwise white mane for Snowflake? Nice design, Hasbro! Why don't you do interesting things like that more often?

Port-O-Bella!!! woo! One of my favorite G3s. Also one of my first internet purchases! She just did not end up being released in my local stores. Pretty Pop is another fave, I love her colors but Port-O-Bella comes first!
