Ebay Question about Paypal??

Hi ponies,

I won a pony on ebay not very expensive, but i need her for a project.


I pay with paypal and i go to check my ebay today and it says "payment being processed by paypal". I go to paypal and i check and it says "unclaimed as the recipient is unregistered". I can't have typed in the email wrong as it was sent through ebay's check out system.

The acution says the seller accepts paypal and lists no other forms of payment they would accept

I have messaged the seller, but not had a reply yet.

Has anyone had this experience before with ebay and paypal?

Is their by chance a cancel button next to the Unclaimed wording?  If so it means that the email addy the seller put on his auction is not associated to a paypal account.  Sometimes when a seller changes their email addy they change it on ebay but forget that they have to change it during the listing process on their auctions in the paypal box. It also happens if they imput it but make a spelling mistake.


I would wait to here back from them and see what they have to say. It could be a simple fix on his part.

I've  had this happen  a couple of times on ebay and (like Ponylady mentioned might be the case with your seller,)  one of my sellers had made a spelling mistake in her email addy without realizing until I messaged her to check what was amiss. The other time it happened cos my seller changed their email and  forgot to add the new one to the paypal     You did the right thing messaging them about it - wait for the response and go from there. If the seller doesnt know whats going on you could always mention to them about checking these things    Hope it all works out ok for you Pkw

the payment does have a "cancel" button next to it. i was wondering if it was a typo or if the seller had changed their email address.

i got a message from the seller today saying they had been having a problem with their paypal account and were sorting it out.

the seller emailed me again yesterday as the payment has still not gone through, she was asking if i would email paypal about the payment. i don't see what good it would do since it is not my account that is the problem

i tried cancelling my first payment and sent it again, but it has still not worked.

i have emailed the seller the unclaimed wording that she can see what i see and perhpas she will understand what needs fixing. i have also asked her to email me her paypal address.
