Ouch! I hope you get better quickly.  I nearly did the same thing with my prep.  I had my hubby go at it instead lol I just knew I was going to get myself.

When you say the recycled items must be visible on the pony... how strict is that?  For instance, if I use newspaper to paper mache I shouldn't paint it so you can still see the newspaper?  Or if I cut up an old candy wrapper/pop can/plastic package I should leave the label side up so you can tell what it once was?

I guess what I am trying to say is disguising the recycled materials missing the point of the assignment?

Since a few of you might be stuck for ideas for recyclables- here's things that you might normally throw away that you could use on your ponies-

-newspapers
-cotton balls
- cardboard
-broken jewelry/watches that don't work
- broken glass
- fabric or yarn remnants
- plastic or paper bags
- egg cartons
- milk jugs
- pop tabs

I am making good progress, got through my rehair and main design. Just need finishing touches and a few last minute additions. Honestly, I am really diggin this one.
