Advice for selling a bunch of common G1s?

I've spent the weekend cleaning out my pony collection, and I've found that I have more unwanted duplicates than I was expecting. They're mostly common ponies, most are in reasonably good shape, but I've been having trouble lately selling G1s that aren't mint (and even some that are). I can't really afford to just give them away or sell them at absolute lowest prices, but I do need to make space and get these out of my closet.

Any suggestions or thoughts? I'm thinking about just putting them in lots, but I'm not sure if that would make them less likely to go. I also worry about not having good enough pictures when I sell lots, but I really would like to avoid having to take pictures of every flaw because I'm kind of busy. I've also been avoiding ebay, but my last sale post here a few months ago was a complete flop, so I'm not sure what to do. I also have some G3s and vintage Strawberry Shortcake Minis, but those are a different issue I think.

Just mark them "as is" and mention that you really don't have time to go through them all or answer a lot of questions on them individually.

I would also just mark them "as is", but that might of course reduce the likeliness of selling in some cases.

Maybe mark the lots after their condition. Put only mint ponies in one lot, and ponies with only minor flaws in another and ponies with more major flaws in a third? Depending on which ponies they are of course, you can price the lots differently after their condition?

It is always a hassle to sell unwanted ponies, especially if you are busy, but I have learned that in cases where I just don't have time, but still need to sell due to space for instance, I just have to be prepared to sell them cheap. In most cases I just decide to put the whole selling on hold until I have time

Oh, and it could be an idea to put up a trade post if you are interested in trading. I find it much less time consuming to trade, than to sell

katrine, I like you idea of grouping them by condition! Seems obvious, but I didn't think of it

I don't expect to sell them for their full value if they're in lots, that's fine, as long as I can get something for them. My main issue with trades is that I don't plan on putting the money back into ponies, even if it's not much that I can get for these. But thank you, I think I'll try that in a few weeks (I don't even have time now to do anything more than clean them and put them aside)

hey you :-) come to the VA MEET and then whatever is left after you sell there, go ebay as mentioned about (by condition etc)
= save yourself the fees if you can (and have a fun time = August 18th)

I think as a collector selling "as is" can be off putting to buyers - one of the biggest complaints people seem to have about buying ponies is not getting an accurate enough description of condition.

How you sell depends on a few factors:-
1) If you are not bothered about selling them fast then picture them individually and pop them in a sales thread, most G1s will eventually sell - just state that you can provide pics and a more accurate description on request
2) If you are bothered about selling them fast then you will be best dropping the price for them
3) If you dont want the hassle of picturing and describing them individually then again you ll have to keep the price low as its unfair to ask someone for a normal average price when you cant give them an accurate representation of the pony
4) If you want the best price then the best pictures possible plus a description tends to tempt buyers more
5) If you just want them gone and make a little money then again going with a lower than average price

Well, I don't have any baits, and all of them are adults, except for one fakie baby. I'll have a list of everything maybe later next week (sorry everyone who's asking what I have! I'm really not sure off the top of my head, except for a few). I'm about to go on vacation, so it'll have to be after that unfortunately. But thanks for your help everyone. I'll think about what I want to do.
