Phew! So glad to see I'm not the only one who feels that way about DA:2! I get upset at how badly people rag on it because while it was a big departure from DA:o, the writing was a huge improvement as was the combat system. I mean, I liked DA:O but I'm not sure it's as legendary as people claim it is. For one thing, it just went on forever and I did not like a lot of the game mechanics. I also found it really hard to get attached to most of the companions and the Warden felt rather flat as a character. I became way too attached to the cast of DA:O.....

I loved Origins because it did things I hadn't  seen before in a game and I loved DA:2 for the same reason. With DA:I I feel like I'm playing a watered down Origins with a watered down Hawke. I also miss the rivalry bar so much! It added so much to the game and now your party just passive aggressively disapprove all the time.

I admit I went ahead and spoiled the whole game for myself on youtube to see if it was worth playing through all the way and I still haven't made up my mind if it is yet. I really want to play the mission with Hawke but I just don't know if I'm going to make it. In other news, I am highly enjoying all the bug videos my bf has been sending of his playthrough.

Fair points. I actually wound up playing DA:2 first before Origins so that most likely influenced my opinion on it. I really do miss the rivalry/friendship bar, too. I find it is so stupidly easy to offend people in Inquisition.

My DH and I got a PS4 for our Christmas gift to each other just this past weekend. So far we've only played 2 games, Dragon Age Inquisition and Destiny. I've never played any of the Dragon Age franchise but it's fun- I'm not used to having party members to order around. I'm used to flying solo Elder Scrolls style (and by the way, I feel super betrayed by Bethedsa for making ESO but that's another story).

 And Destiny... well we didn't realize you have to play some parts online with other players. So that's a bummer for us as we have no gamer friends. But who knows, it might get more fun. Now I just get irritated when I'm thrown in an area with some random jerks :/ I do my best to just ignore them and do the mission by myself but some of those aliens are hard to kill. I'll have to team up with someone eventually I guess.
