I don't mind them so much, but they aren't my favorite either. I like eyes that have more expression. I jist feel they look like they need am exorcism or something, lol.
The ones with eye rust freak me the right out!

I had a BBE Baby Shady and Baby Sundance in my original childhood collection and they were always the "special" kids.  I still played with them though lol I just thought they were different than the other babies.

I still have made it a point to collect them all though...

I actually felt bad for them because they never got played with. I think that might be why they grew on me. BBE baby gusty will always be my favorite pony, and bbe shady will be my second favorite.

I have an army of the little googly-eyed babies. I love them to bits even if they're creepy. Friends of mine now know they can just aim their BBE ponies at me and I'll squeak with joy... I should really take a photo of them. I call them my Zombie Horde.

I adore them. I had Baby Ribbon as a child. She's still one of my favorites. I never thought they were creepy until I saw a rusty one.

Its not their eyes that annoy me, as LadyM said earlier in the thread its the moulds and the poses...I am not a fan of those.

I always used to think they were just creepy as heck... but baby frosting changed my mind. I picked her up at the fair and her colors just won me over. I think  BBE ponies just need a special kind of love

I like them. It's a fun gimmick (a lot more fun than having a "first tooth" for sure), but it was not executed too well. Of all the hasbro ponies released they look the least like real MLPs (not counting stuff like Dream Beauties or My Little Puppy/Kitty/Bunny), because of the eyes. And why do they have eyeshadow, only above the eyes, not on their eyelids when closed? The poses are a little weird, but so are many G1 poses. Anyway, I don't think they are as bad as people make them out to be.

Fun question: If you could choose three Baby Ponies to be added to the first BBE set (in the same way they added 6 new characters to the so softs and 3 to the twinkle eyes). Which would you pick? It should be one earth, one pegasus, and one unicorn. Could be an offspring of any pony from year 4, or maybe even earlier.

Sorry, but eww, no.   I have a couple that are in excellent shape (no eye rust, all lashes, etc) but even those creep me out.  I wish that Baby Lofty came in NBBE, I like my SS Lofty so much and I wish I could stand having her baby version out on dispaly with her.

I got my first one last year from a Value Village pony baggie. I thought I hated them but seeing one up close wasn't as bad as I thought. They're still not my favorite, but they're safe if they tumble into my collection. I even felt a bit of affection for her when my little boy laid her on her side and she closed her eyes - and he thought that was neat.
