The first time I saw them I left them all behind because they scared the crap out of me.

Obviously I regret that decision now, but still. Creepy! I call them the Little Zombie Ponies.

I remember when they came out in stores and I remember all the fun my cousin and I had playing with them. Not in the traditional way but we used to call them Funky-Monkey-Eyes, ponies with special powers. If you shake a Beddy Bye Eye the eyes make noise...

So yea, they are a little weird looking but my love for them comes from all the fun I had as a kid with them.

And I can never find myself hating a MLP...just not possible.

I had two as a kid (Sleepy Pie and Heart Throb) but never liked them as much as the NBBE babies.  It was something about the vacant expression that put me off even as a kid

Can't stand them and was so glad when I discovered other countries had NBBE versions of most of them!

I had BBE Baby Heart Throb as a child, and even back then I would look at her and fervently wish she had normal eyes.

You had to turn them completely upside down to get the eyes to work, too.  Like, feet sticking up in the air.  They look rather dead that way.

Edit:  Also, the molds are pretty terrible, just the way the bodies are formed.  The unicorns have a giraffe-like neck.  The earth ponies have a neck that slopes straight into their chest and odd legs that look unformed compared to most ponies, like they are literally just tubes or something.  The baby pegasus mold is the only one I like, but of course it has "bulgy eyes" syndrome like all the rest.

I absolutely LOVE the beddy bye eye ponies. Baby Gusty and Baby Shady are my favorite ponies of all time! I do think the pegasus versions of them are a tad scary, though.

There's actually a Beddy Bye Eye Appreciation group on Facebook that was made a little while ago after discussing this very subject, lol.

They really freak me out.  I love in the "My Little Obsession" documentary that it pairs a Beddy Bye Eye with the "Psycho" theme.

bleh, they look so ugly to me. ugly molds, bulgy eyes... yuck. They look like poorly made knock-offs to me.
At least it's been easy for me to sell them off because it's super trendy to like what's unpopular nowadays.
