I think it's a really neat idea by Hasbro to produce these ponies. Definitly something kids will love

However, personaly I'm a bit torn. I do like em', but the painted on black lines for where you're supposed to draw just doesn't sit well with me. It looks like someone already doodled on them =/

Their cheeks do look a little...odd. But I do like how they captured the cartoon's pointier noses with this mold. Give a little to get a little, I suppose!

Guess it's personal opinions on this, I personally don't like the pony noses that's in most of the vector art for the ponies but I didn't notice it in the molds for these two till it was pointed out

OMG, I NEED that Fluttershy! It's the first ever one with molded hair!!!! I think I would paint her hair pink and her wings yellow so I will have a molded hair version of her!

I'm doing the exact same thing. I love Fluttershy, so it's nice to finally see one with molded hair other than the McDonald's versions.

I wonder if they'll eventually add others? I'd love a Rarity or AJ like this. Either way, I'm glad they did Fluttershy. Most of the FiM merch just uses RD, TS and PP. The other three always get left out.

They look like the cake topper ponies, but with different characters.
What a fun idea!  I like the already-painted body a whole lot more than the blank white ponies with the soulless eyes. :3

I just love those.. i do have to admit that i'd love to have a version without the black lines… and what if they produced all main 6 molds just in white.. imagine how taht would be cool for customs… i am also interested in the packaging.. from what i dee the size of these ponies is quite similar to the styling version.. and notice how the plastic is reduced to the minimum.. maybe taht we are now seeing the first signs of the sustainable packaging effort that we heard about back in may! I LOVE THEM:)

Speaking of reducing the plastic packaging, when So Soft Baby Spike hit the shelves here he was missing the exterior plastic case. I approve their efforts to become more sustainable and green but I'd prefer if what plastic they did use was just recyclable instead of taking it all away. I like my ponies trapped forever mwahahaha

On topic, each time I see these I want them more!
If/when Crystal Empire stuff reaches Australia I'm gonna go crazy lol, and re-release the fashion style main 6 already!

WOW Hasbro, it's not often I applaud you, but this time I have to give it to you. You came up with a creative and unique idea! I think it's great to give children an option to color their own ponies!

I really hope this encourages some young children to start customizing too. Kids have such a great imagination, I greatly encourage toys that nurture the creative ideas in kids. I can see kids coloring a bunch of these to be like their OC's!

I will be buying a couple, for sure, I want to do some coloring of my own!

Definitely a new concept as far as playing with your ponies!    Though I fear the restoration work ahead when children start attacking their brushables!
