G2/G3

I adore G3s. Easily my fav gen after G1. I think they are so pretty and I love their colours and designs.
As for G2, I only like them out of nostalgia to be honest. Not too crazy about their design and lack of variety in poses etc, and I´m REALLY not a big fan of all the gimmicks many of them came with :S But I do have quite a few of them, mostly from childhood though

I love G2s, I attempted to draw one before, failed but if you look at my drawing style, you might be able to see a hint of G2 in there

Although I am not a big collector of either gen, I love G2 and G3 - both get loads of love around the forums and deservedly so as they are both so varied and gorgeous

There are plenty of people who have primary G3 or G2 collections as well with G1 and G4 maybe only being their "smaller" collections.

I grew up with g2 also! Sadly, I don't have any of my childhood ponies or any g2's for that matter D: my collection consists of
 
10 g1 ponies
100-ish g3 ponies
1 new born cutie
and 30-ish g4 ponies including doubles

I really want to collect g2 ponies, I just don't know if i hae the time, money, or room D: I want to get some of my childhood ponies back!

G3s are nearly tied as my favorite gen along with G1s.  G1s win out by just the tiniest bit, mainly because of nostalgia I think.

G3.5 is the most underloved/disliked. Hardly anyone likes them. xD G3 has plenty of fans.

G1 is by far my favorite, but I also absolutely love G2. G3 looks very generic and "little girl toy" to me, if that makes sense. I like them just fine, and I don't mind having them in my collection, but I don't actively seek them out and my wishlist for them probably won't be very long when I make it.

G2s are pretty but to me they aren't my little ponies. It is like they are something totally new. I think it is the eye shape that makes me think of them as if they are fakies.  But I do love their symbols and colors. I like them as their own separate thing that is unlike any other my little pony. They didn't last long either did they?

I adore G3s but I am restraining myself from collecting them.  Too many and I can't add them to my collection without going nuts. So I haven't bought many...yet.

I love ALL the ponies!! I need Eve, she is my G2 grail.  I am a child of the 80's so the G1's have a special place in my heart, but I really love the variety of G3s too and I hope that G4 will continue to get that amount of variety and merchandise.  The only thing that makes me sad about G2's is the amount of international exclusives that are expensive and hard to get.

I am not a really a collector of G2s though I may only have one. However I just love all G3s that I can get my hands on. I dont collect the core 7 stuff. I am just happy collecting the ponies.

I love all generations and collect all of them. : D
I think G2 ponies look really elegant and i adore the fact that they all have gems in their eyes. They also had some great playsets! Maybe some of the best pony playsets out there.
G3 ponies on the other hand have some great, detailed cutie marks and i enjoy how cute and innocent their background story is.

i mostly do g1 but i love the g3s becaes there SO  pretty..  and my g3 collection has.. skyrocketed through the roof.

I like them all. I only have two G2s, though, and one is my childhood pony. This needs to change.

G2 is my favorite generation. I think they're the most beautiful and elegant ponies. I love their slender bodies and the gems in their eyes.
Sadly they're so hard to find. I only found 1 and 3 McDonald's G2 ponies. visitors can't see pics , please register or login
