Negative Feedback on Etsy :( - Is Buyer A Member Here?

I just noticed that I received negative feedback for this listing:

The negative feedback was as follows:

"large rock stuck inside of tail."

Referring to the weight that all adult seaponies came with in order that they could float upright!!!  The buyer didn't even bother contacting me prior to leaving feedback.

I don't know if the person is a member here or not, or if anyone has dealt with her before. Their username on Etsy is simba333. Is this person a member of the My Little Pony community?

Is anyone out there familiar with the feedback system on Etsy and able to offer advice?

I don't know, but I would suggest taking their name off this post. I know you're upset, but posting someone's real name on a public forum is a serious violation of their privacy. Just their username should be more than enough to identify them.

Good luck in getting this dispute settled! If you can, contact the buyer and let her know that it's a weight, not a rock, and provide information to back it up so she can see how silly she's being about it.

Wow.. that's.. wow.

I know Etsy has a "kiss and make up" feature when it comes to feedback, so the buyer is able to revise their feedback. I'd suggest sending them a message explaining about the weight, and get some pictures of other seapony weights to show them. Then hopefully they'll revise the feedback.

I sent her a very polite message with two links mentioning the weights, one which had a lot of photos of the removal etc. and initiated a "kiss and make up" with her. Hopefully she'll see reason - it isn't exactly fair to punish me for something which is original to the pony. Maybe it was someone who doesn't really collect ponies or hasn't collected for long?

And thank you for the complement on the jewelry. I used to use Etsy only for unloading stuff after I made it, but the sale conditions are a lot friendlier then eBay and I have a lot of ponies to unload.

I'm sorry that happened to you v.v that's sad when people don't research like that and complain about something original to the pony. I myself had absolutely no idea that sea ponies had weights in the tails o.o... I don't know anything about sea ponies at all since I don't collect them, but that's definitely interesting to know

If she doesn't understand that Sea Ponies have weights in their bums, then she likely noticed the pony was heavy in the rear and opened her up to try to figure out why.

Hopefully, she can see the wrong in her feedback with the pictures you sent her.

I will never get though why buyers do not contact the seller before leaving negative.

Oh god, I had a similar issue with a buyer. I think that people interesting in pony collecting should have to pass a tutorial before they are allowed to purchase from sellers.
