I only have one that I've done thus far. This gal was made as a custom for Phantom of the Opera as part of the Midsummer Musical sawp, years ago.

Her bodice is clay (apoxie sculpt, to be exact). The cuffs are folded lace that I sewed in a loop of the right size and glued the raw ends in place. Her skirt and collar are two layers of fabric - I used a creamy white under the lace. This was also carefully sewn how I wanted it, and the raw ends of the fabric and lace were glued in place behind the clay.

I also have a WIP image from before I put her skirt (and head) on, so you can see how the bodice is shaped.

I decided to do a non-clay tail for her, so the skirt has a hole through both layers that I carefully went 'round with glue to it wouldn't fray later (I favor Liquid Nails' super glue ). If I remember right, I used the stick-end of a paintbrush to hold the fabric in place while the glue dried in her stomach area.

If you decide to use this method, make sure you paint the clay and seal it before you put the skirt on; it'll just get in the way later.

Her corset was sculpted, and the skirt was sheer ribbon with wire in the edges, which was very handy when making those pleats.  I glued it onto her with a hot glue gun, then covered it with a grossgrain ribbon.

CoinOperatedGirl, I love the idea of used wired ribbon! I may have to try that for a few customs I've had in mind for awhile now. Thanks for sharing! ^__^
