I've taken all my pics on my Nokia phone. I do have a camera but it's been packed away in the move.

I really feel my lack of background let me down this week, the photos I love have really vibrant, clever backgrounds. I didn't want to do such a close-up shot but I only had a book to use as a background!

I love all the other entries so much! They are soooooooooo cool...the backgrounds, the poses, the general execution of every one is awesome! :lovey:

I thought it looked like a bunch of people used books/computers as backrounds. :D

Wow, this is the hardest week to pick! There are three who are neck-an-neck in my brain and I may have to draw straws! Everyone did so great this week though! It's so fun to see everyone's skills develop from great to WOWWW!

Maybe if I look at them for a fourth time I can decide. Aria, Jordan and Nanami are the three who I thought just made their photos into art. My doll would tear out these pages of her Morgue Italia issue and stick them on her inspiration board...

The fourth and fifth looks did NOT help. But I voted for Jordan because that photo just grabs your soul and makes you look at it.

Drat ... I think I flopped. I had this romantic story in my head - Draculina was pulled to shore by the lovely Dragonessa, who brings Lina back to life with a kiss... but I can see now that it wasn't quite right for the nature of the challenge.
Ah well, hopefully 'Lina gets a chance to redeem herself!

In other news all you other ghouls were AMAZING this week. I'm taking notes because y'all are SO good at this!!!

Pink: I personally have nothing against your photo! Perhaps the simple (but effective) backdrop coupled with a close up shot wasn't enough to draw votes(?) Either way, even though the public has the ability to reward one finalist by their votes each challenge (which is a pretty sweet deal if you ask me!) the judges take more than just backgrounds into account when determining the final callout. We must think about the model herself, lighting, how well the challenge was met, posing, hair, overall effect, past performance, photo editing, whether there has been improvement, etc.

Yep next time I need to make a bigger background!

And to be honest, there are some amazing, creative and awesome photos there! The competition is stiffer than stiff so I don't feel too bad :)

At the end of the day I'm learning about photography, which I love, so everything I do and everyone else's pictures that I look at all teach me something :)
