Star Trek: TNG Completed!

*Sigh* We recently [like early last month] acquired the entire Star Trek: The Next Generation series and have been watching it nightly as our noise filler. We finished them all today. (I have now seen every episode!)

I was so thrilled that John DeLancie was also featured in FiM, but that's another story.

Anyone else Trekies from The Next Generation? Jean-Luc Picard has always been my old man crush (I was a baby went this series came out) Any favorite episodes?

Oh lord, you're making me feel old...I was a teenager when this came out! I'm a tng trekkie, and I've been slowly catching up on the series, because I know I missed a lot the first time around. I recently watched the "data's daughter" one, and I couldn't watch the end of it because I started crying so hard.  That was a great episode, among many. One day I'll actually finish it!

TNG is a great show. Its my favorite of the Star Trek series. Although I just got done watching the whole series of Enterprise and was surprised by how much I liked it. I think one of my favorite episodes of TNG has to be Measure of a Man. It's the one where they have the trial in front of the judge advocate general to determine if Data had the right to choose his freedom or be declared the property of starfleet.

I love TNG. My favorite characters in it are Data, Picard and Worf. I think it's the best Star Trek series that was made.

A not-so-active-anymore Trekkie here. 

Congratulations on discovering TNG. It's an excellent under-rated show and there are many incredible things yet to happen! Star Trek Voyager is another great show that is very engaging, it may be something for you later down the track.

My favorite however is DS9 (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine). It was like a soap opera on a space station and Trills are awesome.

My favourite Trek. Had posters of Data on my bedroom wall as a teenager!
Have the UK ST:TNG magazines, and several of the carded action figures. Loved the ST exhibition that came to this country, saw it in London several years ago. \

Oh, and my fave episode was 'Data's Day' when Beverly Crusher teaches Data to tap dance. Data dances about the room then says something like
"Now I am ready to dance at the wedding..."

Lifelong Trekkie here too I love TNG and have watched it way too much Congrats on watching them all in a month! That's quite a marathon!

My favourite is probably DS9 nowadays but TNG was my first love. I don't think I could pick a favourite episode (although Yesterday's Enterprise is so totally rad) but my fave character is definitely Data. Overall favourite character though? Dax, Jadzia or Ezri or otherwise.

I didn't like it the first time I tried watching it way back when it first came out (by which I mean I watched a bit of an episode here and there) I think I was was mostly star treked out at that point. What with Voyager, DS9 and the TNG movies all going on at the same time, Looking back I don't think I gave it a fair try. Then last month I was thinking of watching TNG again when I noticed that Netflix had all the other Startrek series as well. I thought why not have a major Startrek-a-thon and watch all the series. at first I was going to start with the original, but then decided to watch them in order of the time line which meant starting with Enterprise. I was expecting not to like it, but once I watched it from the beginning, gave it a fair try and started to get to know the characters, I found myself really liking the series. Give it another try with fresh eyes I think you might be surprised.
