well heres an idea you mihgt not have tried.. i knwo it sounds odd.. but spray it with vinegar and a little water.  in a water bottle.  white vinegar  can get  the smell out of anyhting i have used it to get cigarette smoke,  litterbox smell bug bomb smell.  (motly on plushies) they hold the smell.. so  i soak te things  in vinger and hang them on a clothes line.   i  did that with my toola rolla.. she came form a smoker but a little vingear  and  4 hours later shes good as new. the vingar  kinda   makes  them a little rough so i toss them into  the dryer for a  few mintues. 1 or 2  and they come out  all brand newish

Lol, maybe, but I'm allergic to the smell of coffee! I can drink it just fine, but I get a headache and sneeze like crazy if I smell coffee grounds or brewing coffee. Weird, I know!

Hmm, vinegar sounds good! I may try that :D

You know people use coffee grounds to absorb skunk smells. I'm not sure how coffee works with ponies, but maybe you could have a nice roasted blend pony?

Mmmmm... then they'll smell tasty! XD

I think its an old wives tail but I  heard that tomato soup works for this as well :P...although it may just mask odor rather than take it away...*visualising ponies bathing in tomato soup*

Ugh mouse urine?? Id definitely be using bleach..! But then I have ocd....

Has anyone used bleach on a pony with glitter symbols?

Would it be possible to bleach and keep the hair out of the water somehow

I bleach almost all of my G1's that come in. I use maybe 1/4 cup of bleach in a gallon bucket of water. I have never had pony hair get dry in bleach, just the opposite I believe it gets softer. My biggest question to you though is this...did you behead the ponies and clean the pee out of the insides?

Awwww, no coffee blend pony. Just think a coffee, vinger and tomato pony.

In relation to bleaching and not getting hair in it. I've had a few I didn't want their hair in it. I popped their heads off then let the water get deep enough that the whole body and head were in it, but I let the hair drape over the side of the pot/tub whatever I had them in. Pretty much had the whole pony soaking, but its hair.  ^.^

Not to thread jack but I have a pony that has some kind of smell in her hair. The weird thing is that she doesn't smell when her hair is wet but once she is dry the smell comes back. It's too bad because she is in really great shape except for the weird hair smell. I want to re-home her but I wouldn't even begin to know how to explain the smell in a listing. I know the smell isn't smoke... Maybe I'm just being overly sensitive?

I've never had stinky ponies, but I did drop my phone into some gross smelling liquid recently... I got it out and dried it, and it worked (it was only in it momentarily) but I nearly gagged every time I answered it! I pulled it apart, and sat it in an open container. I then sat that container, still open, inside a larger container with a thick layer of baking soda in the bottom, and sealed everything into the larger container. I went away for the weekend, and when I returned, smell gone. And believe me, this was a NASTY smell!

My idea would be to do the same with the pony. Baking soda and rice absorb moisture and odours (since most odours are moisture based). you could also pour a little bit of Baking Soda inside the pony if it has mould, etc...

An open container of rice or Baking Soda is also great to keep in the room with your ponies in damp weather!
