1:4 scale horses?
« on: July 11, 2012, 11:55:42 AM »

Does anyone know of any type of toy/model horses or figurines that are 1:4 scale?

Breyers biggest size is only 1:9, so it seems unlikely that there are any 1:4 out there, and Google doesn't yield much either.. please help?

American girl? Battat My Generation horses? I don't know the exact measurements a 1:4 scale horse should be but possibly the vintage Marx adult horses fit that scale. They're certainly bigger than a traditional Breyer. There are also large Barbie horses.

Sindy, Action Man, Anna Moore and the larger Barbie horses are all 1/6th scale, I think the bigger Bratz ones are too but I've never seen a Bratz horse IRL.

I'm not sure what size that is either. But what about those great big Our Generation horses? Would those be the right size?

OG horses are 20" tall I beleive. Forgot about those

The larger Barbie/Sindy/AM horses are 10.5-12" tall :)

The Battat and Marx horses look perfect! Thank you!

Is that sideshowtoys.com? I can't find the ringwraiths mounts on there, but I'd love to check those out, they sound awesome as well.

Thanks guys!

Marx can bet pricy cause they are collectable.  I do have two if you need a shot of them with a ruler to get an idea of scale.  PM me.  I have in the past had the Target Our Generation horses and they are huge.  I see them on ebay all the time.  Several folks have customized then to use with ABJ Dolls though and they look good with them.

What are you looking to do with them?

I know, I've had a chance to look at the Marx horses, I can see why they are popular, I like them a lot! Thank you very much for the offer of pics, but I've pretty much decided that the Our Generation horses are the ones to go for. I'm off to start scouring eBay for them!

I've been wanting one for my Tonner doll to ride, so I have been doing research. That transparent one is too small and most of the Battat ones are WAY too big. Yes, they are tall enough, but they are very thickly built and don't look the right scale. They are very pretty though and look great with AG dolls.

The Friends Boutique that WalMart just stopped carrying had a good-sized horse and if I ever see one again I will snag it. I will probably rip the fur off and customize it, but I NEED one. There is a serious lack of everything in 1:4 scale...

little.fox. If you're looking for a horse for an MSD, then AG or My Generation horses are going to be your best bet :)
