Reattaching Taf Megan's legs? Anyone have tips?

Soooo while cleaning all my ponies last weekend I discovered my poor TAF Megan's rubber bands that keep her legs attached to her body have completely dried out so her legs fell off. I removed the remains of her old bands but I'm at a bit of a loss on how to reattach them properly. Do I just use rubber bands again and how do I get the bands through the tiny holes (especially with the second leg)?

Anyone have experience with this?

Tiny crochet hook? Not seen them so I can't offer suggestions! You could get some very thin elastic/elastic thread and knot that into a loop.
