My garden!

I'm finally home and the first thing I did when I got home, was check on my neglected veggie garden. Good to know the timmer seemed to do its job! and the few storms must have really helped, I didnt expect everything to be so big, I was afraid also that deer would have raided while I was gone.

This is my first year with raised beds, I love them. As you can see from lack of grass, we have really bad soil xD so these beds were pretty much a requirement if we wanted anything to grow.

(I dont know WHY I thought I would put pumpkins in here... there is also watermelon and summer squash hidden inside that jungle. next year im growing them along side the house because for some reason they dont mind our gruddy soil)

Acorn squash, we ran out of room so we had to fix a small area of soil and my son made a neat little rope fence for them :p

Antique roses :p these are from my great great grandma, handed down from my mom lol iv had this plant for a very very long time. they are also the only roses that I like.

Totally a brag post xD but im very garden proud lmao.

Sarafina xD I will be eating the kale as well, Iv got a few recipies for a smoothie diet Ill be starting soon rofl, all of them being mainly kale.

Ooh hyenacub :p I just got a few new basil plants... They are mouth watering xD every time I water the garden it's all I can smell rofl. Iv also got sage, time and oregano, I LOVE being able to pick things directly out of the garden to cook with.

Gorgeous - I love vege gardens! Mine has been terribly neglected the last couple of years whilst I've been busy raising other things... kids    (I don't have deer to raid my plots... just curious, er, trying to be helpful, fingers)

I think your Dad's garden sculptures are just delightful, too!

That is a very cool garden! I love gardening and misses it now that I live in an apartment. It's such a pleasent feeling making a salad or food knowing some of the things you used is the fruits from your own hard work. I try to have some plants and herbs on the balcony but it's glassed in and located to the south and the sun is pretty much killing everything unless I water and shower them everyday. It's hard but lovley work.

I love veggie gardens! They look awesome I dont have any veggies - yet! Got a few herbs though, and my prized rosemary bush which always smells so lush
