Jen's handmade treats - hair scrunchies!! Opinions appreciated :)

Hiya

So, some of you may remember my SIL Jen and her lovely handmade bags, cushion covers and other lovely stuff she sold alongside me at UK PonyCon 2010 and we sold some online here too.

She'll be here again in 2012 and is working on some fun stuff for you all!

She has come up with these sweet little hair scrunchies, elasticated of course, and all made with genuine G1 vintage fabric.  They are made on a sewing machine and hand finished.

Looking for about £4 each; what do you all think?

In addition, we have enough of this lovely fabric covered in G1 symbols (bowtie, blossom, seashell, bubbles etc) to make about 6 scrunchies so taking preorders on that - I think scrunchies in this will be especially fun as you will know it is MLP but no one else will and you can wear MLP wherever you go!

Those are very cute! The symbol material is amazing!

They're cute and it's definitely creative (I also love that symbol fabric), but it's kind of hard to see that it's MLP. I guess that's the point, but for me, if I'm going to be using vintage fabric to make something, I'd want to be able to see the pattern since it's not something you see every day.

Elisto - yes she is working on making some you can see MLP ponies directly on - its kinda hard as most of the vintage fabrics had big imagery

Personally, I cry inside when I see vintage fabric being chopped up but I don't have the money to buy the fabric myself so I have no official opinion.

well, that is one point.
some peopledon´t want to bait g1 anymore, because they getting rarer and rarer. but if it belongs to someone else, it´s thier part to decide.

i also think that the fabric is to precious not to be recogniced, so i recommended bows where cou really can see and feel he fabric. (big bows, so you can see aponies face on it for example. ^^) i´ll probably recommend not making them smaller than the lenght of your hand, not measuring the fingers. that is between 8/9 cm for me. ^^

otherwise another thought popped up, do you /jen sale some of this fabric? it would be cool for quilting for example, i would be very interested myself.
