pony meet in ia???

I. Have seen a post a long time ago for a possible meet in Iowa....well i am thinking about hosting...but i want some feed back. This would be summer june or aug 2014.
I live in the Northwest corner of IA. I would be up for inviting Minn and S. N. Dakota.
1. Would you be interested in attending?
2. What kinds of things do you do at a meet?
3. Any tips or ideas to help this along?

Please give me any feedback. There are multiple locations that are free in my area....and even fun family vacation things too:) I love hosting events so why not bring pony love to the area.

That sounds like great fun!

Basically at pony meets everyone gets together and the kind of things that go on are:

Trading/buying/selling
Games
Picnic
Show and tell

You could even do a fancy dress competition if you have loads of people attend, that's usually a fun thing to do

Also you can have a themed meet ( for example everyone has to dress up/ wear something Minty orientated)

That was probably me ... mine fell through because I ended up with no place to host!
I'd like to host one in the fall - but I think we're in opposite corners of Iowa! So mine would probably extend more toward Illinois, southern Wisconsin and Minnestoa, northern Missouri, etc.

I can drive only so far into Iowa.  Too bad, sounds like you'll have lots of fun with whomever can make it!  I like to stick with the southeastern Iowa and some Illinois areas (I've been to the WI last year but met up with others to make it up there).

I will talk to some family in des moines and see where some hosting could happen:) oooh and i was thinking 2013 as in next summer not two years from now hahaha
