Ah, I never realized how much I love old school pin ups. So classy but still sexy... MH dolls evolve into having waist joints, damn you!

These dolls would be perfect with basic ankle joints and a waist joint, ugh. I'd just settle for the waist one.. at least if you get them in a good pose they can stand ;o;/

the hair is definitely a challenge for me... I do want something cute and period, but yarn isn't the easiest to style

Yeah, the wig I have on Rhonda is sooo silky it just kinda doesn't go anywhere. So I really have to work with it. DX

Do curlers work well on wigs?

depends on the kind of hair - some types style well, some don't. And premade doll wigs and hair often use a variety of hair types, so the only way to find out is to try!

Rawr...can not wait for my clothes to come in so I can shoot the actual photos!  I have some AWESOME ideas.....now to just see how the costume plays into it.  Mwuhahaha  Tuney, this is SO much fun!

Haha, sadly I dunno. I have the opposite problem. Too silky it falls back into place, or gets bad flyaways. DX

Doing hair today, I can get nice curls for a while, but inevitably for the next shoot she needs new ones.  I tight curled around straws, dipped her in boiling water then rinsed in cold to set the curls.  If these don't stay in a bit better this time I will just have to plan extensive styling for temporary looks!

Yeah, Jordan's not going to get much in the way of styling. Her hair is different than most of the wigs I have...its kind of course. And I can't brush it a whole ton or the pink starts to come out of the ends! GAH!  Her bangs are brighter than some of her ends. <--- That makes my OCD flare up! LOL

I used straws and boil curling on operetta, and it worked at first, but they've fallen a lot. But a good tight wrap and boiling should last a photoshot or two!
