Ponies You Want Except For That One Hang Up

Tootsie's pose is like kryptonite to me, I can't stand it. BUT I discovered that if you can move their head to face front it's not so bad (which is good as I love Cherries Jubillee, white Tootsie and Romper)

I think if Celestia was a very pale pink I could've lived with it but as is, nope. I can't wait for the white one!

I generally do not rule any pony out. I will say that the "broken neck" pose on G3s doesn't thrill me. Really Skywishes? Why? That being said Port-o-bella is my favorite G3 and she is in that unfortunate pose. Oh well!

I know I am probably alone on this, but Moondancer's pose bugs me. She looks chubby and badly sculpted. (It's funny because I'm chubby!) I REALLY love her coloring though, and the coloring of a bunch of ponies in her pose. I may have to make a variant of her in a different pose.


It bugs me that they didn't make the big brothers in different poses (no, having the head turned a bit doesn't count) and as pagasi and unicorns. (Not enough to make me not collect them! )


Don't even start me on pink Celestia. It's like Hasbro/stores are saying "Hey, we don't care about you as fans." And don't think the little girls don't notice either. Kids today are very nerdy about details I tell people "It's like they hate profits or something." I think they would make WAYYYYY more money with a white unicorn.

Personally I ignore the background stories for the ponies and think of my own if I want... I really by pass ponies I already have (like the reissued main 6) or the high priced sets/ponies... like talking Celestia and the canterlot sets.

My hang-ups are symbols and names.  I passed on a ton of G3 ponies because the names were so lame, like Cute Curtsey or Lavender Lake.  I also will pass on ponies with symbols that are too simple.  It's one reason Twilight Sparkle is one of the few G4's that I genuinely adore.  Her symbol is more "intricate" than the others.  I just can't get to fawn over ponies with simple symbols that repeat 3 or 4 times.

Here's what it is with Pinklestia: Retailers like Mall-Wart insisted that Celestia be pink, since she was a Princess. Otherwise they would understock her. And since Hasbro makes their profit from this stage of the process, they're kinda Mall-Wart's b*tch there. They have finally, finally convinced the retailers to accept White Celestia, going by the toyfair pic. Personally I don't mind because it's her at all and I can get white paint.

Personally, the eye gems freak me out. :c I LOVE all the TE ponies' designs and colour schemes, but the gems are just a deal breaker. I only have ever owned one (Sweet stuff) and I had to put her away in a box because when I was in my room at night it felt like she was watching me. .__.'

The BBE's!  Oh, I have most of them, but I would rather have them in non-BBE!

Perfume Puff ponies!  Sorry, but I've spent way too much of my life trying to unfrizz my own hair, those poofy manes and tailes just make me cringe. 
 
@Zelda: Thank you for the explanation of Pinklestia.  That makes an awful darned lot of sense, considering what I know about retailers in general and the big W in particular.  Thank goodness Hasbro finally got them to 'get it.'

I like the colors of  the SHS ponies, and the bride pose ponies , but I hate the skinny llama  look . I'll still get them eventually, but I'll never like the molds of them

It's the pose for me, too... I'd say that's the biggest deciding factor for G1s. I love all the g3 poses though.

Mine isn't really a character but a specific pony over at the Antique Mall I go to. I really want a Glory so my Baby Glory can have her mother, but the one they have appears to have a pink high-lighter mark on her face.

Because, I get all the ponies.....
