Hah, I do like how you twisted yours where your lead girl isn't the monster*. :D
Technically if these were real scary movies for the MH universe we'd all have them running from humans!

Oh yea, I just thought about that. I think Kalma and Abbey were the only ghouls who played the victims. Very interesting to see how each finalist's mind works!

ETA: I've never seen Swamp Thing. Should I?

Hehe, I love the creativity of the backgrounds too!

I just went to a wall in the basement with waterdamaged wood (yay, I LIVE down there DX).
I thought it looked creeeepy.

The possibilities are endless for backgrounds, though I do find it easier when the shot doesn't require the model's full body!

I'm DYING to use my friend Tim's house for a shoot again. (I used his backyard for a shoot from Cycle 1, if you recall). He has such a great space for photo taking, so I'm planning to pay a visit to him next Sunday and shoot example photos for the next several challenges as well as the Morgue Italia shoot for Nefera and Clawdeen, something I've put off for far too long!

Isn't there another swamp character? I saw an article about him recently, He's green, but he has a mohawk or something. He wasn't Swamp Thing, though. Grrr....my memory is terrible.

For the final shot I used, I removed the blanket and simply used the boards beneath as a background. Unfortunately the light's reflection was a bit too prominent on the right side of the photo, but to me it sort of resembled a light down the corridor, a light that was drawing the mummy towards it. And it gave me a good place to put my tagline!

I like that setup!  Having a few boards handy is a great idea.  The corridor lighting worked out well.

You know what the boards really are? They're like the "hot plate/protective boards" that came with my teak kitchen table! I guess they're there to protect it from spills and such. I keep them in the closet though. What sense is there in protecting your table if you can't see it?!

For my backdrop I went to a lush cemetery just down the road from me. It's a really beautiful, tranquil place, the old side is anyway. I love it down there!

Anyway to get a sense of scale I had to get right down on the ground - literally laying on my front between graves. It was a lot of fun! Here's a shot which shows clearer where we were -

Lilitha was Alfred's personal favorite this week, to be honest! He loved everything about your shoot. Everything! Splendid job. I truly love your devotion, too. A cemetery shot!!! I'm so proud of you!
