Help identifying someone's childhood pony
« on: June 08, 2012, 04:38:12 PM »
I'm trying to help someone identify their childhood ponies, but it seems I've reached a dead end.

Info I have:
"One was kind of a teal/blue color with I think rainbow hair (it was multi colored)"
So I tried the G1 Rainbow Ponies.
"And then I think it was moonstone or star flower that I had. They were slightly different poses though, if I remember correctly."
I thought maybe it was a nirvana, and linked to those.
"Any U.S. versions? The colors are similar ones I mentioned, however they were different styles."
I linked them to the G1 pose list, hoping that might be able to help.

The other pony they had was a G1 Peachy, so I'm guessing this one is a G1 too.

Edit: They've been found, maybe? The person changed their mind and said G3 Sparkleworks was definitely the orange pony they had, so I guessed Rainbow Dash was the other.

Was it an earth pony?  Or a unicorn or pegasus?  Pics would really be useful here lol

They didn't provide any photos, just that first bit of text and I went from there.

But apparently they did some Googling and Peachy was wrong? Now they're saying G3 Sparkleworks is the orange pony they had. They are not making this easy. :/

Well normally I'm good with finding names of ponies and such... but even I can't go by that bit of text... symbols I can do but without more info... it makes it kind of hard x.x

I cant even hazard a guess I am afraid.

If she remembers even something of the symbol I would point her in the direction of this website as its good if you can only describe the symbol to track down a pony across the gens. http://mlpland.com/?l=2&p=zoeken

It could have been a fakie too.  We had someone recently ask about thier childhood pegacorn and it turned out to be a fakie.  :)

Rainbow Dash 1 was more teal. If they remember Sparkleworks than I'm betting on Rainbow Dash.

I feel old when poeple's chilchood ponies are g3s.

Glad you found out what ponies they were! It's always nice to know who you had in your herd.

If it's sparkleworks, the blue is probably Rainbow Dash.

Oops,   didn't read all the comments. haha.

Yeah I guess the time has come to ask, "How old is the person who is asking?"  :(
