IDing a childhood pony with description only?
« on: June 02, 2012, 04:09:17 PM »
Hey guys :) I keep getting memory flashes of my first G1's I had as a child, and while I can easily identify one as BB Tex and I still have him, I'm having trouble remembering the other. It was definitely bright pink, and I'm about 80% sure it had furry feet and was a boy, but I've never been big on the colour pink so I gave it away and don't have a clear memory of which pony it was.

Even if I only get suggestions or pictures as replies, I'd love to know if anyone can jog my memory or what pony it actually was xD I realise this is extremely difficult, but it's the only childhood pony that I can remember giving away and if it was a G1, I'd like to know if I have a chance of finding one again :)

Could it be steamer or slugger?

There's also fireball, who was UK only

those are all the pink G1 male ponies I know of.

As Skitterbug says, the only out and out pink boys were Steamer and Slugger, with Fireball being more of a purple pink in colour. Perhaps he was one of them?

Edit: Unfairly  :P  we didnt get Waddles or Countdown in the UK!

I know we missed out on loads of good ponies! We only got Paws and Drummer from that set! Mean old HB UK...although they "may" have balanced things out with sets like the Mountain Boys so perhaps I shouldnt moan too much?

Thanks guys :) Slugger's too pale a pink to the one in my memory. So it's either Steamer or Fireball, but Fireball is bringing up stronger memories. If he really was Fireball I'd be absolutely gutted xD A rare pony at such a young age - and I just gave him away?

Oh Baby Countdown and Baby Waddles are so pretty :) Gutted that we didn't get those two over here
