Do you like keeping/collecting ponies in their original package?

I like them out. BUT if I were to find one MOD I would keep it that way. I'd rather collect unboxed ponies though...and the newer lines I take out.

So, are you a MOC collector?

  I only have a couple of MOCs. I could personally Never decard a pony that had a good card /bubble, but I have no grievances with those who do; it just makes the ones I have worth more.

I don't really have room for a lot of boxes but I would feel guilty deboxing vintage since even the super common ones are in limited quanity when it comes to pristine MOC ones. I selected Option #5. If the bubble was all yellowed and broken, maybe it would be risking damage to the pony NOT to free her? And how much value would she really have lost? I'd keep the backcard, though.

I can't debox ponies. I don't know why. Even if I have duplicates. lol. I would never debox...unless the box is ruined. Although that may change if I run out of room. I don't need them to be MIB, but if that's how I get them then thats how they stay.

I just feel bad keeping them in the box, so if I ever got a boxed G1, I would probably sell it to someone who would want it like that, because I would definitely free the pony otherwise lol. However, nowadays, when I get a brand new pony, I take a pic of how it was before taking it out of the box, for future reference !

I prefer my ponies MIB. If I purchase it myself, then I can't bring myself to debox it!

However, I'm happy to buy most ponies out of the box, and the majority of my collection is unboxed

My Ponies are all un-boxed. I like to hold them when I'm upset, and it wouldn't feel nice if they were in a box. I would just be holding cardboard, not the actual Pony.
I also like to display them on my shelves, and it would be easier to do so if they're not in a box. ^^

I de-box my ponies. I love to pick them up and fiddle around with them, and arrange them on my shelves. That, and I just don't have the room for a large MIB collection. But I have to say  for favourite G1 ponies, there are some I would love to get MIB/MOC and keep them displayed like that, but I would have to have a loose version of them also!

Most of the ponies I buy are loose. The ones I have MIB are the Winter Series's I and II and a g3 butterscotch:) She's really common but I have never seen her MIB before and couldn't resist:) She'll never come out. So I do like MIB. I debox all G4's though.

I'm really specific... I can ONLY have MOC/MIB ponies if I were to collect them all MOC/MIB. I can't, obviously... which is why they are all loose! My G3 and G4s are all obsessively MIB, though.

I prefer to keep them in box if I get them with a box. Would I like more ponies in box, yes!!
(I was so picky with the few g3's that I bought that I had to take the tape off of the edges so that it wouldn't get yellowed and make the box look bad over time...)

I've had a few G2 MOC's go through my collection; ultimately I sold them because I wanted to open them so badly!!

BUT, I currently have 2 MOC/MIB G1 ponies, and would never consider removing them. I guess for me a mint-in-orig.-package G1 is more "sacred" then later generations, haha...

I have one MIB, a boxed but open playset, and a pony who would have been MIB except her box was smooshed (that's why I bought her!) and when she arrived she'd been beheaded, so it was logical to free her.

Gonna go ahead and admit this...   I had a MIB G1 Waterfall set back in college.  I opened it.   I enjoyed every moment!   I felt like a kid again, I carefully applied the Rainbow sticker.   New pony smell...   Oh it was fun!

But, I don't open MOC items anymore unless the card/package is beaten up.   I will open up G3 ponies, but I don't consider them rare at all. 

Anyway, yes, I have opened some MOC items before.   No regrets either!   But, I know some people get upset and want the MIB ponies, so I now keep things MIB and just sell them if I want something loose.
