have today off! where should I hunt?

I have today off, should I bother driving (45 mins) to Toys r us and Target?  I haven't heard anything new, except for maybe NB plush Spike, so I'm thinking no... 

maybe I should stick to yard sales and thrift today?

I have made bad experiences by trying my luck at similarily distant places.

I vote for yard sales and thrift stores, so much more fun than disappointing stores. I wish my thrift stores had ponies, no such luck here .

Road trip!!! If you can cover 2 stores, I would go the 45 min drive - for both a drive to somewhere different and to look for ponies!

The plush Spike is not released yet and only on eBay. We're not even sure if it's offical or not.
If you don't have any of the blind bags, I'd head to Toys R us and grab a few. Target can have some pony stuff in the dollar aisle, but most of the new releases are coming out in the Fall. Plus, it'd be nice just for a drive.

There is a So Soft Spike though...I think that was maybe what gabumon was referring so as I believe that's been spotted in US stores.

I have the So Soft Spike I got him at TRU so he has been released in the US for sure I just don't think he's seen a wide release yet.

Well, I found a third Diamond Rose at Target that was a little closer than the TRU-near one.  they have cherry pie too.  No wedding ponies.  Got my first "Filly Pricness" King there tho!

My fav thrift is closed today.

I went out and didn't find anything except this cute little apple family fakie. I couldn't leave her behind! Applejack was my most favorite pony growing up and I love the apple family in the new series.

Somebody might have already said this, but the baby Spike's official.  I know because MLP has been promoting the hell out of him on their facebook page.
