french ponies naming question

obviously ponies have names we all know and love. and in some countries those names were replaced or translated. does anyone know how the names were handled in france? where they translated into french or did they keep their english names? and does anyone have a french backcard to know for sure?

i have MOC french starshine on a french card, both her name on the card and puffy sticker are in english.

i do know the french ponies did have french names in some cases i think we need a french collector to help us out with them though.

There are French names kicking around for the ones made in France, but not sure where they originate from, as the ones I have found pics of MOC seem to have the same names (Parasol and Sunlight) or no name listed. They might be from comics/books/other merchandise? Etoile's site had them on. Yes, even if there were some packages with english names, most of the names were translated in french.
You can find them on french packages, or on french leaflets (and in mlp books also ^^)

Some names were the same as in english (Starshine, Confetti, Parasol for example), some were basic translation (Noeud Papillon for Bowtie), some had nothing in common (Gwendoline for Majesty) and some were translated weirdly, because a word-to-word would have been awkward ("Tic Tac Toc" for Tic Tac Toe, because the french word for tic tac toe is "morpion", which mean louse... !! That was for the fun fact )

psydo ~ am i right in remembering that  the princess ponies were names after precious stones like the UK princesses i think it is the same for the rest of the releases through out europe they too got the precious stone names
