Thank you, Crimson and Bewilderness. I know their hair is different plastic than ponies and I figured I should ask first...glad I did!! Is there a good boil method tutorial anywhere that anyone knows about? I've never actually done it since straighteners work so well with ponies; I would hate to melt a new doll's hair
*sigh* The sad part is, this isn't even all of them visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Is there a good boil method tutorial anywhere that anyone knows about? I've never actually done it since straighteners work so well with ponies; I would hate to melt a new doll's hair I used to have a tutorial up in the sticky... it didn't transfer over from the old Arena. Basically, boil a small pot of water (just until it starts to bubble). Pour it into a ceramic dish. Dunk the hair (your doll should have the glue washed out, and obviously be undressed/no accessories) into the water. Swirl around for a couple minutes, then remove and gently brush straight. Repeat until you get the desired results. I follow up with a quick dunk into a bowl of ice water, but mostly when I'[m setting curls.Pat the hair dry, and gently brush it again. Let the doll air dry, then redress. Hope this helps!
Hanna wanted a wig for her witch, so I tested something new. Black and purple! What do you guys think?visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login
That looks fantastic, Hannaliten! Don't suppose you got it off of Etsy and want to share the link? It reminds me of the witch from The Sword In The Stone! Madame something.

Sorry off topic from the current topic...I have a question though....Do you think stores will still get the series one dolls or do they continue to go up on the orders, like move onto a new series of dolls as they are made? I'm curious to know if I can still get a series one Abbey at a store still. I went to Toys R Us today no luck on an Abbey doll. Kohl's had a skull shores Abbey, not the doll I wanted. Thanks for any info.
