It could be not enough sun and unfortunately the other option could be that it is regrind rather than saddle/bridle burn and if it is regrind then there will be nothing that can fix the poor pony - as its a break down in the plastic itself rather than staining.

regrind is usually bright neon-pink or purple though, isn't it?  these are red, not neon pink.

They get a couple hours of sun in the morning on the windowsill and then nothing all the rest of the day.  And I don't have a car to stick them in either.

I think they want to go rejoin the herd soon. :P

We tend to think of it as pink because thats the breakdown we see the most - regrind can be any colour, it will be the colour of the original plastic which is agitating. However, the regrind added tends to be for a colour mix close to the body of the pony so for this one bright red would perhaps not make sense.

Unfortunately there are no other solutions if the sunfading is not working you either need to find a way to get them more sunlight - in a car is a perfect idea - or simply let them re join the herd :)

I've heard using UV/blacklight works for sunfading if you don't get enough sun... I've never tried it myself though but blacklights aren't that expensive if you want to give it a try. Maybe someone else who has attempted this can better advise you if you're interested?

Thats a new one...I cant say I have ever seen anyone try this...cant wait to learn more :) That would be handy for those of us with limited sunlight.

hmm...that's an idea.  However, if I can't afford new ponies right now, I really doubt I can afford a blacklight. XP
