So any other race fans out there?  What a race!  I can't believe the splits by Bodemeister and how about that close by I'll have another?!  Not going to lie, I was rooting for Hansen, until I saw how worked up he was getting before hand, then I knew there was no way. Two weeks and counting until the Preakness!

The Derby was today?

Got to see a recap of it on the 11 o clock news fortunately.  Had to work today. Always nice when an underdog wins. Keeps things interesting.

I'll Have Another was my top pick! I couldn't believe it! I was almost yelling at my TV lol. That was so exciting.
I also had Dullahan taking third. 

And to top it all off, my horse Groupie Doll won the Humana Distaff.

UNBELIEVABLE.
And I didn't have bets on anything.

The link didn't work SparklersOasis.    But I was able to find it on Youtube.  What a great race!!  Bodemeister was doing great, but I think he used up way too much energy too early in the race.  I'll have to keep an eye out for him in other races.

Yeah, for some reason the jockey let him go head to head with a sprinter, great splits, bad end results.

Absolutely not. Sorry but I'd rather wash my eyes with acid than support the world of horse racing. Those horses are raced before their bones are fully developed at 4-5 years of age and thus are prone to serious injury. Most of the horses bred for racing don't have what it takes are are culled. Thos who do make a few years of a career are usually ruined afterwards from racing on underdeveloped bones. They spend a few years after retirement and then are slaughtered. Even the big time multimillion dollar winners end up slaughtered when they can no longer be used for racing. I'm not even going to get into the inhumane breeding practices. There was a report in the New York Times that stated that 3600 horses died at state-regulated tracks alone in the past 3 years.

I don't approve of horse racing.  :/  They run the poor things ragged.
