I use plastic grocery bags to wrap the pony in first. They can get stuffed into nooks and crannies of sculpting. I don't know if this is actually better or good or whatever.. But I feel like it is. None of my Dresden Files ponies have broken during shipping, and they all have long trailing coats made from very thin clay. After making it into a wad of shopping bags, then I use bubble wrap for a few layers.. Then I put it into the center of a box stuffed with whatever I have.. Packing peanuts, paper, more bubble wrap, grocery bags..

I have seen a tutorial once that someone did where they pad well with shopping bags in a very sturdy box, about half full, then nestle the pony in and then tape all of that down well so it creates sort of a suspension structure. It ensures the pony doesn't move. She did it to keep it cradled in the center and to protect hairstyles.

I was wondering, as I made it, that it has A LOT of super delicate parts. I'm super worried about shipping it and it getting hurt, so how do you all ship delicate sculpting that has a lot of angles and areas that should be supported and such?

I'm worried about mine, too. I asked if anyone had any suggestions for any kind of sealer or anything that might lend it a bit of extra strength.
Looking for: Alternate Birthflowers, Baity wingers, So softs - both minty and for deflocking - and DREAM BEAUTIES!

I'm stuck on my pony. Need to work on her this weekend.*hoping for bad weather*

Bubble wrap, bubble wrap, bubble wrap. Then peanuts, air bags, whatever to fill/cushion.

I got my airbrush! YAY! This means that the gown might look stunning! Maybe. I hope. Any suggestions on what to use if I want it to look black, but shine blue in the light? I read somewhere about some interference paint.. but I have no idea about brands or anything.

My head is done, and my dress skirt is stitched but still need to finish the body before I can start finishing the dress. Also having doubts about my dress idea, I like my dress skirt so far, but not sure if my partner will... We shall see.. Might go for sculpting instead.

I finally have the sculpting well under way, and I got the ribbon I was waiting on to match the hair to... I keep forgetting that once the sculpting is done she'll go pretty fast.

i finally got around to finishing the mask and baked it. then i finally got the body painted in a color i like. just need to work on it some more, paint wise. also need to get around to some hair. i have an idea for hair colors, but i dont have them. might need to trade or look into ordering somewhere.
