if wanted to adorn edges or embed that would be best to apply thin layer so the feather can be concreted in or if did not want to add to wet, if small enough drill and enough to angle could mark holes to then fix them in?

feathers sound gorgeous best of luck!

I just love seeing what people come up with. I love seeing their creativity and interpretations of my "likes".

This ^^

Thirded!!

What I do like to do is imagine what I would do "if" I got a certain partner. What might be on their list and what they would like based on what I know of their likes and styles.

Mentally, y'all have a pony coming from me... mentally only. :D
very cool to hear you all's thought processes, thanks!

Oh and I'm using feathers for the mask too! I was just thinking what the best way to do it would be too, and I heard that glue and feathers don't get along, and I'm baking so I can't make the feathers a part of the sculpted piece (in fear that the feathers will burst into flame in the oven... ).
Drilling a hole sounds interesting, but...that's a really small drill bit that I'll need! And I'd be afraid that the drill was a little to rough on a thin, delicate piece... hmmm... Or did you mean drill the holes before baking? like... stab the feathers in, then take them out to bake and their holes should still be there?

You sculpt the mask and put little pieces of wires (or if baking thin/splinters of toothpicks) into it as placeholders. Make sure they are not too tight fitting so you can pull them out later and replace by feathers. This way the holes stay and you can glue in the feathers after painting and sealing. ;)

That's what I did with all my dragon pony's fantasy film wire thingies. http://puush.deviantart.com/art/Azure-285574045

Got a fair bit of sculpting done today. :cheer:
Blended or striped or unicolor or whatever is fine for me. Run wild.

Thanks for the tip puuush :) That is clever. I'm not doing major feather work on my masque pony, but I am putting butterfly wings on another one, so thanks!

My Package is still not here and the ebay lady told me to give it another day or two, that she mailed it out on last monday. I got a package from the UK already that i ordered at the same time! And a package that I ordered on friday! What the heck?!

She says if it isn't here in a day or two, then she will send me replacements priority mail. Im just really glad this swap has such a long work time! But if I wind up needing an extension because of this, is that going to be a super huge issue, Saja?

My mask is close to done, although I haven't done anything in a few days. The weather is supposed to get crappy again soon though.

Maniah, If your parcel takes time, as mine is, an extension will be fine, no one can control the posties! And im sure your partner will understand!

The mask is done, now I'll work on the rest of the pony. I hope the weather is cooperating next week since I am now airbrushing outside. Well, worst case scenario I guess I can set it up in the garage.

Well,  I didn't anticipate doing a repose for you partner, since I have never done one before. But if this one I have been playing with while waiting on supplies to come in works out, then I do believe you will receive my very first Repose. It'll be a collectors item. ;)

I have an image of what I want to do in my head, but it's refusing to sketch itself on paper properly, which is frustrating me.  This isn't the first time I've had an awesome idea that just didn't sketch right, and usually I just skip the sketch and wing it lol (and it always turns out great.)  So now I just need to find the right bait and start working.
