My hubby has been helping me a little bit too! He is so much better at the how part of things. I tell him what I want and he tells me what I will need or suggestions especially on armature. I am pleased to say that my second round of sculpting is finished.  As long as my plan holds I should be able to complete the 3rd and 4th session after the hair I ordered comes in the mail. Finally making progress.

My hair arrived! Ok so when i am thinking about this hair.  It shouldn't be pretty either really right?  Messy/tangled/cut.... thoughts or preferences everyone?

If you are going all gory, definitely messy/tangled/matted hair would be good.

It totally depends on the monster. For instance a vampire might not have nasty hair, but a swamp thing would. Mine's not a gorey pony, but it will kind of be aged and windswept. I am actually having to sculpt the hair- don't freak out everyone!  lol, trust me. It will work with this pony and this pony would be IMPOSSIBLE to rehair normally.

As for my preference, do whatever your vision requires. For instance, I don't normally like yarn hair, but if you were making a creepy doll pony it would totally work. I think this swap is one of those that you can bend the norm on. These aren't normal ponies. They are more like sculptures.

My first instinct is the pretty updo or a nice crimp. But I am thinking... Monstrous. Creepy. Anyone have some alternative hair styles I can see?

Edit: As for me... I think most of my picks would do with crazy hair or alternative hair or maybe even just sculpting.  So don't be afraid to make mine a little out there if you want to. 

This may be the hardest part for me because I am so torn.  I think crazy hair would be better in a monster custom even if it doesn't look nice.  Because the point isn't to look nice.  It's the effect.  I need concept art on this.  *search*

I would prefer pony hair, unless it just isn't possible due to sculpting. Which I would understand.

I'm fine with anything my partner comes up with, some monsters just won't seem right with perfectly silky hair

Im really enjoying working on this pony my internet is playing up at the moment so i have plenty of time to work on her lol x hope everyone is having fun x
