I know some people have had spots that became "shiny" when acetone was applied, but if you wipe it off quickly enough and wash the area that might prevent the problem. Don't take my word for it because I'm not 100%. I don't think I'd bring acetone near my dolls without knowing for sure.

Edit: Hey, I have a small question. My Frankie has a smudge of silver paint on the back of her leg, is it safe to remove it with acetone?

I've removed paint with goof off before, you really don't need to rub on the area it just wipes off quickly and then I take a wet towel and wipe the area clean. It's never hurt ponies before and I doubt it would hurt Frankie, but maybe test a small area first on the bottom of her foot or something.


Also I went to a kmart way out of the way and found one as well! Yaay! ^^

Acetone will melt the plastic and release these ultra toxic fumes that will burn your eyes and nose. If you do it quick it may be ok but I really don't recommend it myself.

a very light buff with a mr. clean magic eraser may work too, i always try that before acetone.

and at least MH dolls are far less expensive than pullips ... unless you get into them too ... i have 15 and counting of that group o dollies and 25ish MH's lol

Yeah, I was gonna try with a magic eraser. ^^

yeah.. I guess I'm just not used to spending a lot on dolls, since I just got into doll collecting around November last year and then I wasn't into anything besides ponies until like a month ago. It's new to me.

I do like Pullips, they are very pretty, but I don't like them enough to start collecting them.
