Random thought for the day...so while flicking through G1 comics [thank you so much Partypony for these ones in my swap box!], I came across a character I had forgotten...Lady Lessons who is a teacher who pops up in comics a few times...and then I thought...hmmm she looks even more familiar than I remembered...


So who else do you think has Pony ancestry they can trace "back to the days of G1" - whether G2, G3 or G4

Until my theory was smashed to bits in the show, I thought G1 Sparkler could be Rarity and Sweetie Belle's mother. Maybe she could still be their grandmother. Maybe Posey and Fluttershy are related in some way too even though Posey is an earth pony and Fluttershy is a pegasus.

I always thought of Posey having a connection with Fluttershy too. I think Sparkler is an aunt to Rarity.

I think Up, Up, and Away must be an ancestor of Pinkie Pie's!  Also Firefly could be Rainbow Dash's mother or grandmother?

I'll weigh in on this, but as many of the people on here know, I flip flop the order of the shows in time (FiM First, G1 centuries later) in my pony world;

Twilight Sparkle is the Ancestor of G1 Twilight
Rainbow Dash is the Acestor of Firefly
Pinkie Pie is the ancestor of Surprise
Fluttershy is Posey's ancestor
Rarity is Sparkler and Glory's ancestor
Sassaflash is Wind Whistler's ancestor
Cherry Jubilee is Cherries Jubilee's ancestor
Applejack IS Applejack (long Story)
Spike IS  Spike (again long story)
and Blossomforth is North Star's ancestor
