Saran match for bobby blue?

I'm currently working on a custom, and my original plan was to use bobby blue.  I'm considering using saran instead, since it was mentioned in another thread that it's good for straight hairstyles, and I love the feel of it.  I checked out the colors on dh, but I'm not sure what would be a closer match, lagoon blue or phthalo blue (or a mix?)  Lagoon looks a little too light, phthalo a little too dark.  Does anyone have either of these colors?

In short? No. Lagoon Blue doesn't even come close and if you mix it with Phthalo Blue you might just end up with a streaky salt and pepper effect.  RestoreDoll.com has one called Blue Circus that is closer, though it's apparently a heavier fibre than the usual saran.

Blue circus is a pretty close match to Bobby Blue (they are my absolute favourite blues )
The phthalo and lagoon don't really come close in the flesh.... if you want I can take some pics for you?

That would be awesome if you could, I'd really appreciate it.  I'm not necessarily looking for an exact match, but something similar is what I need.  And yeah, bobby blue is my favorite hair color out of everything that I've seen, and blue circus is a pretty close second

I considered circus blue, but looking at the pictures, it looks a little too fluorescent for what I need (if the picture on the site is relatively accurate, dh displays bobby blue as more greenish than it really is in person, at least on my monitor).  I'm trying to match a darker metallic blue paint, and bobby blue is close, just a bit too light.  So it'd work, but something brighter wouldn't.

There isn't much range in the saran when it comes to blues unfortunately :/

MLC is definitely the best place for seeing colours in true light photos (DH stock photos can sometimes be way off) if Circus Blue is too light then I can't think of another colour which would work - Lagoon Blue / Azure Blue (same colour, different names) is a a more greyish tone of blue. Phtalto Blue / Sapphire Blue (different names again but same colour) would be way too dark.

Oh wow, thank you for the links, piper!  That makes it much more clear!  And yeah, that's a much more accurate pic of bobby blue
