I made a post on Tumblr today, and I thought all of you would be the types to get a kick out of it.

I don't know how many of you are familiar with the Eels song "My Beloved Monster." It was in the first Shrek movie, so you may have heard it without realizing it. I put it on a mix tape in my car and a while ago, I started singing "my beloved ponies" along with it. It gave me an incredible happiness, and I just had to do this. Hmmmm....I cant say I can think of any songs that remind me of collecting unfortunately [unless its Money Money Money by Abba....and the amount of $ that those ponies cost! lol]

On serious note...your pictures are fantastic - I love the one of Fluttershy and the unicorn at the end!

Thank you, guys.

The song has sort of become my unofficial pony theme, so it's become quite special to me these days. While I'm not personally musically inclined, I do feel sort of a connection to music in different aspects of my life, if that makes any sense at all. This aspect of my life just needed a theme song and I'd say this is quite a perfect one.

Vintergatan, I don't know how intentional that was, but that comment made me tear up just a bit. That's so sweet of you to say and think. Yes, that's exactly how I want my collection to be- welcoming of all colorful plastic ponies, not just Hasbro ones. I love pretty ponies.

I love your ponies! You clearly love fakies as much as I do! I also wanted to tell you that my sister has the same bear from your signature. Her`s is a white bear in a laying pose but his nose is missing. She got him when she was a baby and of course someone cut off the tag.
