Fakie Big Macintosh custom finished

This is my very first custom and I have learned a lot while making him. Some of the most important things is that everything looks better in the dark so I really should buy myself a proper lamp to put in my "custom-corner" where I paint and such. I got a smaller shock when I saw him in bright, proper light. Also, one other thing I learned; When you think there is enough layers paint, paint one more. I really should have done that, not much I can do about it now and luckily he's standing in a pretty dark room so he looks almost flawless in that light.  I also learned that it's good to have a picture of what the custom should look like in the end, I am a pretty forgetful person so for next time I will have a reference picture in front of my all the time (on this one I forgot the yellow hooves so those I had to paint on later). Also, it's a pain in the butt to paint on cutiemarks with a crappy brush.

Well, he's not perfect, but he's my first custom and I do have to say that I like him a lot.

He looks great, especially for your first! The FBR looks very smooth and the symbol work precise, it doesn't look like it was done with crappy brushes at all. Congrats on your first custom, you should feel very proud of him! ^^

Aww, thank you!  Sadly I forgot to take WIP pictures, but I do have another fakie that's the same model as him (he was orange though). I already half-prepped this one, but the hair was so frizzy most of it was in a big lump. The glossy part on the hooves I first though was nail polish so I tried to remove it on Big Mac, but it was so stubborn. I dipped one of the hooves in acetone and it went super soft and almost transparent so I decided just to leave it be. Later when I found this fakie I realised that it's not nail polish.
