Bronies in the soaps?

While I was on holiday, I watched a bit of Emmerdale (It could have been Eastenders. I can't remember.) while I was drawing. I wasn't paying much attention to it, untill I heard a guy saying "And get trampled by a bunch of angry Ponies."
 
Do you think he meant MLP Ponies or real life Ponies? It would be awesome if he meant MLP Ponies.
