They're very cute. I have seen bigger ones too. In the size of a G3.

Where I need these!!! I love the little ones <3
In various places where they sell toys. I found them while googling and they're called Filly Beauty Queen.

I guess I should point out that Filly is more of a European toy. There have been several lines besides the princess line, including Unicorn, Forest and Fairy that have not been released in the United States. It seems that, so far, only blind bags have been released here.

Filly Princess is sort of a name brand so it wouldn't be considered a official fakie. Some folks consider any toy pony that is not MLP to be a fakie but as others have explained fakies are ponies that are produced to copy MLP.

Back in the 80's up until today there are other companies who tried to jump on the band wagon of the popularity of My Little Pony. So these smaller toy companies make cheap imitation MLP. Even going so far as to use graphics and later a few have used very close mold copy of original MLP.

You can tell a fakie by the quality of the hair, how much hair is used, they eye paint and symbol design. Usually the hair quality is low and even the amount of hair used is minimal. THe paint in the eyes is usually pretty crappy, symbols and suck are next to non-existance on most of them.

Hasbro ponies tend to be very well made, the quality in G1 was always top notch, from hair to paint, etc. etc. A fakie will be poorly done, low quality and in a lot of cases pretty darn ugly.

Filly Princess is a brand and while I wouldn't say they meet the standards of G1 production they seem to be a little better quality than the average fakie.

I have some of the small blind bag ones. The one thing I have noticed about them, they have a kind of yucky smell. I'm not sure if this is the glue used on them to make them fuzzy or IF it's the actual plastic. This has just been my experience with the smaller blind bags so I don't really know about any of there other products but I've seen other things like little houses for them. The quality looks okay but it does look kind of cheap. Also the graphics on the blind bags while nice is not up to the standards I'd associate with Hasbro artwork, etc.

Probably doesn't own a stolen piece of the Taj Mahal.

Lanard ponies have their own unique style and don't really copy hasbro, but they're still refered to as fakies.

If people are looking for the little blind bag ones, check your local Target. Mine has a ton of these near the front beside the cash registers, where they keep the baseball/Pokemon cards, etc. The picture on the package does look adorable but I haven't talked myself into buying any yet lol

Next time I go to Target I'll check. I love that they're flocked or so-soft as I like to think.

as far as i know, they started of as g3 fakies. you can still see some copied poses in the artwork. but because they´ve been cheaper, the kids got more of it and it became more popular. in germany they are even more popular as original MLP. ;)
theyare indeed flocked, the ones i had a while ago have even been flocked on the eyes, everywhere! XD
aaand i totally agree with dragonflitter.
 XD

this is the newest wave:

emuel brings up a good point, the artwork (especially the one on front of the blind bag) is pretty obviously a copied pose from some G3 artwork. Does that make it a fakie brand? lol

I assumed they where ripe offs as some of the stickers are blatently copied from G3 art.

I think I might have seen someone do it once, and from what I understand, it didn't turn out so well.
