Sounds like she was selling ponies that were primarily in storage, using descriptions from memory.  The HTF ponies tend to have people underestimate their flaws, and vice versa.

Glad that your seller is remaining communicative and that your refund is proceeding.  :)

Yep, paypal tells me the refund is being processed, so that only leaves the task of putting together some feedback for this mess of a transaction. *sigh*

Thank you so much everyone for taking the time to post your thoughts and advice!

I was wondering too. As the sale took place here on the arena I find it a little bit strange that the seller has not posted in this thread at all. Particulary as she has been very active updating the auction description for the re-sale.
If it was me, I mean if I had sold something and the buyer was unhappy enough to start a thread in here... not that I think that would ever happen, but *if* it did I know I would want to be here and tell my version of it.
In any case, I would like to know what her username is here on the arena.

Well this transaction has been a huge disappointent and her comms with me has left a really bad taste in my mouth so I've actually thought about leaving a neg, but I don't know if that's a bit harsh, I mean it wasn't a complete rip off, I did get my $200 back after all. She's defenitely not getting a positive!

That's a tough one little.fox, noone likes to leave a negative.

But if you feel that strongly about it being that bad of a transaction then you really have no other choice but to leave accurate, honest feedback.

I would take into account though that she did allow you to return the pony and your money was returned.

Well it's becoming more clear to me that she did send this pony out fully aware of it's age marks. Secondly, I find it interesting that the mark wasn't shown in the pic of Nightlight in her sale listing. Either that was taken before the pony developed the age mark or it was retouched. Sadly the seller removed this pic from the listing. Thirdly, my return postage has still not been refunded. And I haven't even started on the way she has been writing to me in PMs, or what she's been saying on the german forum.

It's very disappointing that a fellow collector would not note such an obvious and serious flaw.  Age spots/"cancer" are pretty much at the top of the "do not want" list for everyone, since they tend to get worse and worse as the years go by. I hope everything works out for you. *hugs*

You are much nicer than me as I would leave negative feedback at the most, or neutral, if possible, at the very least.  You don't mess with me, my money and ponies!  Lol.

Anyone else notice the no return policy in the ebay auction?

Maybe I shouldn't have mentioned this, as I have not read any of it with my own eyes, I wouldn't like to infect this even further if I've got the wrong end of the stick. So I'll just leave that alone for the time being, if you don't mind.

Don't worry, I agree, if you have not actually seen it yourself you shouldn't pass it on.

The seller is also a member here, I would just like to input that in case anyone needs to contact them , I hope everything goes well and gets sorted, I saw the relisted Nightlight and nearly bidded until after the 'flawless' part, I read on and it said about the mark. xxx
