If you're looking to purchase a home I would hold off on the pony buying and continue to save up. It's nice to own your own home, and it's much more costly than ponies... Good luck!
Also, if I have a fast food craving, rather than spending $5-10 bucks on a meal at Arby's or wherever, I instead spend it on ponies. After that I'm too self conscious to about spending money to spend it on food. I get a pony, and I don't cram my gullet full of crummy food!
I have only been collecting for 3 months and I have been going wild o.o but for the coming month I'm going to make a pony budget, but I have not made up my mind on how much

I'm going to have to cut down on my pony buying, because at the moment I need money for other things like transport and socialising.. I think I'll have to limit myself to a couple of ponies per month (unless I start eBay sales again).
