Why are some Nirvanas so different from their US counterpart? For example,
Why does argie Twilight look like this:
visitors can't see pics , please register or login
when she looks like this in the US:visitors can't see pics , please register or login

She sure looks different!

When Hasbro licensed other toy companies outside of the US & Europe to produce toys under the My Little Pony name, those toy companies often took creative liberty with the ponies they produced. They used the same symbol stencils & the same themes (Rainbow Ponies, Twice As Fancy Ponies, ect.), but often changed poses, colors, & names.


Edit to add, I think the pink Twilight you have pictured is actually the French version. The US Twilight has glittery symbols.

I like that they are different, adds a little spice to the army if you have one

also, I do believe some countries only got certain molds... so that made it harder to make them look alike... in this case though, I believe argentina had the same mold

Me too, me too! Argies are one of my favorites, because they are so different!

Everyone has their own opinion.. But it's good for people who live one pony and they want an army of it. Example: I love Bowtie and there are heaps of different Bowties from different countries that look heaps different. It makes an army look more interesting.

I love the differences in nirvanas! I collect Posey (which sadly isn't too diverse ) but when I saw what Venezuela had done with Posey variants I was overjoyed! 4 (so far) new, totally differently coloured ponies for me to chase after.
It's great seeing so many different colour schemes. Like Princess Spakles said, ponies like Bowtie. SOO many gorgeous variants. ^_^

I think it's brilliant! I love the variety G1 offers  in comparison to the later gens. Though I have to admit it seems like an odd move on Hasbro's part!
