Easter mishaps
« on: April 08, 2012, 02:27:09 PM »
happy Easter to all of you and i am wondering do any of you have Easter mishaps you would like to share. Well today ours was the acorn squash in the microwave. We had the microwave set on one setting and it somehow turned itself to another setting. In the end all the squash was burnt beyond even trying to save, grandma was not happy. however the rest of it was just fine and sense i hate squash i was happy.

Umm we got a $57 parking ticket courtesy of the lovely City of Glendale due to parking in the red for a few minutes while dropping off our baby niece to my home.

Did I also mention it's my bf's birthday today? Lol happy birthday to him!

A couple of years ago, I was eating a yogurt that apparently belonged to my three-year-old niece. I didn't know it was hers. When she threw a fit about me having eaten it, I gave it to her. My sister (her mother) thought I shoved her by the way I gave it to her (I guess I was a little bit pushy...), and tried to attack me. She's a lot bigger than me. She didn't seriously hurt me, but it turned into a really big verbal fight, even though I didn't actually do anything. I think the worst part was that, when she went home, she told my niece that it was my fault that I "ruined Easter" and my niece would ask me why for several months afterwards.

We made up shortly afterwards, of course. Everything was fine, but it was still the worst Easter I ever had. XD

i had to work. i was unhappy. we're short handed at work, so we all had to work long hours. i was grouchy at customers, and they couldn't figure out why i would be upset with them when i was working on a holiday and they were making rediculous demands. we also had to put out truck stuff. (stock the shelves)
we got to close an hour early today though, so i sat back at the register while my co worker was counting down the drawers, and watched as people tried to come in but the doors were locked. i kind of enjoyed it. the customers here are super mean.

I had to work on Easter this year so I couldn't go home like usual :P I work in a university cafeteria and me and one of the supervisors decided to make deviled eggs lol xD We made like 3 dozen of them and they were super good! I kept offering them to every student that walked by lol

I had to work today as Easter is not a holiday in China.
Monday happens to be the day I teach grade 6 students and they are the worst, I can do anything they really don't care nor do they erspect me :( I tried everything and today I had planned to tell them about easter and such ... I could have talked to the wall it would have made no difference! I wish I could have just sat down at my desk and draw ponies!
I wrote down the names of the worst students and reported them to the school director...hope it teaches them something (this is how things are done here, if students cause trouble, report them to their headteacher, if it still contines -which generally doesn't happen- they get a free mùeeting with the school director and they all fear that)

Back home I made myself cheer-up cookies :p Happy easter everyone!

We tried to go to Target only to realize they were closed.

Good for them. Walmart should've been closed also like the pharmacy was.

Don't really have any mishap stories unless my mother in law and I trying to go to Walmart's pharmacy since I forgot it was closed on Easter counts as one >>

I didn't have any mishaps. And I just remembered this is my first year not working it in a while. That's not as nice as it sounds. X

Its also the first easter without my grandmother.

Ours went pretty well (and the ham came out great). The only hiccup was the veggies refusing to warm up! We had to keep putting them back in the microwave.
