Sometimes you can find vintage Pound Puppies really cheap on e-bay. I don't know about in the UK, but I've gotten large ones for under $5 on E-bay US. They aren't something I collect seriously, but when I see an unloved on, I must "rescue" it

That is a truly outrageous find;).  I was a Jem fan back in the 80's and it is always a pleasure to see Jerrica, the Holograms and the Misfits!!!   Love:)
