I do like G3/G4 Minty too (any green pony is a good pony!) but I honestly don't understand why she seems to be everyone's favorite pony ever. Was it because of her personality in the cartoons? Or because she's green..?

I'd say both. Hasbro really put the focus on her as a character when they were doing their G3 animated features (she pretty much stole the show in the Birthday Celebration, as well as being the star of the Christmas feature and also playing roles in the other animations as well). Plus being a green pony, which is a fairly uncommon color, makes her unique in a herd of other ponies on a display shelf or in a toy bin.

I never understood why she wasn't part of the Core 7 Hasbro tried to do in 2009... Why you go back on your own marketing strategy, Hasbro? You spent all that time making Minty the star of the G3's and then dumped her to make room for ...Star Song and Sweetie Belle? o.0

I adore G1 minty but G3 is gorgeous too, I'm excited about G4 minty too though! haha still G1 is my fave :')

G1 minty for her colors and nostalgia. I've never really gotten into knowing G3 Minty and probably never will... From what little I have seen I didn't care for her personality

also random fact: People have wondered why G1 Minty has shamrocks for her symbol. I've always related the reason to being because Mint is a plant and despite most people who have seen a mint plant knows that it's not clover shaped in the leaves, it wouldn't have looked right if they used and actual mint plant (this is my opinion though). I did some looking around and found there is a Mint in Italy that has rounded leaves. I'm still looking at different kinds of Mint but since Wikipedia doesn't show images for all of them, yeah I'll have to look elsewhere

I am more of the opinion that G1 Minty got her name from her coloring, rather than her symbol, as is the case for most of the rest of the Year 1 ponies (Bluebelle, Cotton Candy, Butterscotch, etc.)

It wasn't until Year 2 that MLP's started getting named for their symbols.

I love the collector's pose and Minty is my favorite collector's pose pony, green is my favorite color and I love clover motifs too...

G3 Minty I probably don't like quite as much as the others, though she is one of my favorite G3s and the one I have the most of. And I just got the Winter edition one a few days ago after admiring her forever and she is soooooo gorgeous.

And G4 Minty is adorable! Want Hasbro to hurry up and give her to us soon. She's also the only blind bag I have (until my complete case arrives from HTS tomorrow!) and I picked her out on purpose.

It's a very close race... but I think my favorite is my G3 Winter edition. Very probably because I just got her and am still really excited about her, and gosh she's pretty... Second is G1 Minty, then G4, then regular G3.

Kimono's Townhouse? That was pretty much my introduction to her. Have no idea what her other incarnations have been like, but I love the oddball, sock-loving G3 gal from the strip.

I love G4 because of her colors, eyes, and wintery theme! But I think that G1 has the best colors- very unique.

Oh gosh! This is a toughie... G1 Minty always had a soft spot in my heart as a kid, but when G3 Minty came out, I fell in love with her. As for G4 Minty, well... I haven't held her in my hands yet. When I do, then I'll know.

Overall? G3 and G4. Shamrocks, while I love them, barely make any since. Silly 80s Hasbro, y u no logical?
