You guys finally broke me! (tuney, you need to work in advertising at Mattel. I mostly blame your gorgeous photos!) I picked up SS Ghoulia at Walmart last night, my very first MH doll. I reaallllly hope they don't mulitply!
I really do love her, though. This was the first time I'd seen dolls on the shelves (aside from the GB pack at Target), and it was exciting! I knew I wanted one, and it was between Ghoulia and Lagoona, but Ghoulia was the only doll left, so her it was. There were two of her at the store, along with two CAM packs (Vampire and Seamonster) as well as some keychain kit and the dress-up kid's wigs. I chose the Ghoulia with the better hair, although I noticed later that her eyes are a bit uneven and there's some odd paint in a spot or two, but she's really pretty! I especially love the green eyeshadow and the shorter hair! I'll post pics when I get the chance, promise.
But jeeze, these girls are so delicate! I'm afraid of snapping her limbs off. Oh, and a question: When I first brushed her, she seemed to have quite a few loose hairs. Not whole plugs, it just seemed like a lot came out in the brush, but she doesn't have bald spots. Has anyone else noticed this?

Oh, and question. Would fingernail polish remover be strong enough to remove something small like Lala's heart on her face?

Depends. If the remover has acetone in it, it could work. Better to buy a jug of pure acetone, though. It's cheap and SO very useful. Just keep it away from all your collectibles! I keep mine in the bathroom under the sink.

I think I read somewhere on here that MH plastic doesn't react well to acetone. Can someone confirm that?

The body's hard plastic becomes a little sticky when exposed to acetone. The heads are vinyl, and acetone removes the paint with no adverse effects.

So I have an idea for the new MH sales and trades forum! Instead of a billion threads looking for Cupid/Howleen/etc, how about we make one Wanted post per dolls and anyone who wants one post there? Kind of like the bounty hunter thread, but more focused.

I havent had a problem at all using Sally Hanson's Acetone Nail polish remover on a bunch of my customs to remove frankies stitches etc. its been fine for me i use a qtip or a cotton ball to remove the paint and its been perfectly fine.

*Squee* Went grocery shopping, came home with Rochelle instead!! jk

Checked the toy section just to see if anything is new, not expecting anything restocked and from the distance I saw a Nefera and thought "Oh, most be its just wave 3 dolls" I looked around and it only was Nefera and the classroom dolls. Right in front of her was who I thought was Operetta, turned out to be Rochelle! Her face seems perfect and I can't see any flaws on her, took her in a heartbeat!!

A little upset that the top of the box got moist from the rain, hopefully it'll get dry and won't be noticable.
