Alternate Pony Names from Non Pony Peeps

Well I am continually amazed by my what my mum has learned about ponies without me being aware - such as names of ponies, what the different generators look like etc...but every so often she calls something by a name which is wrong but so cutely descriptive it makes me giggle!


This evening I needed her to check my doubles drawer as I am still in the city and I wanted to make sure I wasnt bidding on something I have...so I told her to look for Cotton Candy [who I think is wearing the accessory I needed to check]...without a description she could tell me this was a pink pony, with pink hair and white dots as a symbol...impressive I thought! However during her cursing over the phone as she was searching for this pony all I heard was 'all I can find are the "Skinny Sisters" and the "Pudgies"...I think the Skinny Sisters are the SHS....the Pudgies? I dont have a clue!!

So do your non pony loved ones have weird names or descriptions for other sets or particular ponies?[size=78%] [/size]

I guess I have a couple of funny names:


Weird name       - Real name      - Who said it
Stinkberry Pony - Cherry Treats   - Dad               
Misty                  - Minty                - Husband     
Chester             - Baby Racer       - Husband


Also Blossomforth and Lily Blossom are hard to tell apart, due to too much "blossom".

Oh yeah, and my mom thinks the G4s look like little babies when you put them next to G1's.

I dunno, but my friend did say that G1 Moondancer looks like she's just had her wisdom teeth removed.

Blue but and pink but are the names for g3 strawberry swirl and blossomforth. my friend says that.

My husband calls my row of Collector Pose ponies (Minty, Cotton Candy, Blossom etc) the 'shoo bop' girls. He reckons they look like a row of back up singers from a Motown band or something!

My girlfriend is on eBay right now looking at ponies and she kept referring to those "British ponies" and finally I asked her to clarify... G2s are British according to her.

Not really alternative names, my mother has called my giant RD "that big stupid blue pony on the floor" though lol. She is very verbal about her dislike of them, however I don't think she hates them as much as she makes out

Ha! I get chided for my "obsession with stupid plastic horses" on a daily basis pretty much.

I had a huge display of Rainbow Dash (G3) variations and merchandise on my dresser in college, and my college roommates always called her "the gay pony." lol for her rainbows of course. (This was long before FiM came along!)

However we're a very liberal college so this was a nickname that was said with pride. (No pun intended)
